**Coffee Questions (to help you process the message):
1. In the message Garry suggested that: “If satisfaction always lives in the next thing, you'll spend your entire life waiting to be satisfied.” Where do you see this mindset most often in your own life--possessions, money, relationships, career, experiences, appearance, or something else?
2. The verse that this series is built on is Proverbs 14:12 where it says: “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” In what ways does this ring true when we have the mindset to want ‘just a little bit more’?
3. Read Exodus 16:3. The Israelites had been rescued from slavery, yet very quickly they began longing for “the good old days” in Egypt. Why do you think we so easily romanticize what we don't have and minimize what we do have?
4. Garry said that comparison is one of the quickest ways to fuel dissatisfaction. Who or what do you tend to compare yourself with, and what does that comparison do to your sense of contentment?
5. Read Philippians 4:11-13. Paul said that he had “learned” to be content whatever the circumstances. What stands out to you about the word “learned”? What practices or habits might actually help us become more content?
6. The message ended with the question: “What am I constantly telling myself I need in order to be satisfied and content?” What is your current “If only ______, then I’d be satisfied.”? And what might it look like to say, “God, help me be satisfied with what I have instead of obsessed with what I don't.”?
