1. Garry said, “We don’t usually wreck our lives with one giant decision. We wreck them with a thousand little ones.” What are some small, everyday choices that can gradually move us away from following Jesus?

2. What does it look like in real life to put God in the passenger seat rather than the driver’s seat? What are some areas where it’s especially easy for us to want God involved, but not in charge? 

3. Read Mark 10:17-22. The rich young man wanted to follow Jesus, but he wanted to follow Him on his own terms. Why do you think surrendering control to God can be so difficult, even when we believe God is good? 

4. We were given three ways to help us move God out of the passenger seat and into the driver’s seat. Surrender, Listen, and Trust. Which of these three is the biggest challenge for you right now, and why?

5. “God, you can have everything…except this.” Is there an area of your life - your money, relationships, career, time, habits, plans, etc. - that you find difficult to fully surrender to God? What might taking one next step of trust look like?
