I Saw The Sign: What's For Lunch?

Jul 27, 2025    Russ Smith

1. What stands out to you about this “feeding the 5,000” that we read about in John 6:1-15?

2. Why do you think Jesus asked his disciples where they could buy enough food to feed that big crowd?

3. The kid's lunch seemed impossibly small. And yet, in the hands of Jesus, what seemed small and insignificant became so abundant that there were leftovers! What’s for lunch? What do you have for lunch? Are you willing to offer it to Jesus? (Because if you’re willing, he might do something miraculous with it.)

4. Maybe the kid felt like feeding the 5,000 was something he and Jesus got to do together. What kinds of things have happened in your life that you felt like was something that you and Jesus accomplished together?

5. What do you think about the idea that if you’re a Jesus-follower, then everything you have belongs to God?

6. How are you feeling about the situation at The Meeting Place where we need to find a new place to meet for Sunday services?
