We will be voting on the 2026/2027 budget and treasurer as well as ratifying the 2026/27 Leadership Team.

CHRIS ELWOOD
My wife Linda and I started attending TMP in 2012. I really like the focus on the basics of a relationship with God. I appreciate that TMP is accessible and sensitive to people wherever they are in their faith journey. I tend to stay behind the scenes, but you might have seen me on stage (but literally in the background) with a guitar on Sunday mornings. I just retired after 40 years of self-employment.

JEFF ROBINSON
I was raised in rural Saskatchewan and have attended church and been a follower of Jesus since I was little. A little over 8 years ago my family moved to Nanaimo from the farm in Saskatchewan. A few months later we started attending TMP and have been here ever since. My wife Colleen and I have 3 adult children, 1 married, 1 living in Saskatchewan and one in post secondary education. I am currently part of the setup and take down teams for TMP. I enjoy hearing about people’s life journeys and how they are led to follow Jesus. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next year has in store for TMP.

I was introduced to TMP by my daughter while visiting her years ago. I love the music and how it relates to the message, and the come as you are atmosphere that makes it easier for new Christians or first time visitors to feel comfortable. I love the word of God, and being involved in Bible studies to learn more. I also serve at the info table in the lobby and enjoy helping out with special events.

JESSICA McINTYRE
After years of church hopping, it’s been so great to find a church where I feel truly welcomed and can come as I am. That’s what I love about TMP it’s given me a fresh perspective of what church can be: a place to experience the extravagant love of our amazing, wonderful, never-changing God. I’ve been married for almost 25 years and have a son, a daughter, and two granddaughters. I love the outdoors, expressing my creativity, and reading the Bible through all the changing seasons of life. I serve at TMP in little ways—brewing coffee, helping plan and facilitate events, and leading the women’s Bible study group.

VENUS ST. MARIE
I have been attending TMP with my husband Jake and our 3 kids since 2009. What originally attracted my husband and I to TMP was the true sense of a welcoming spirit. We liked the casual environment and how people were authentic and friendly. I am grateful for our church and I hope to return the love to the church family that I have felt.

TIM CHRISTENSEN
My wife Julie and I have been part of TMP since our two boys (now young adults) were small enough to swing & climb on the Avalon hallway railing. I love being part of the team at The Meeting Place and watching people experience those ‘aha’ moments when something new about God’s love for them is finally grasped.
